Thomas Young Obituary
Dunn, NC: Mr. Thomas Davidian Young, age 90, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Smyrna Free Will Baptist Church, Dunn, NC. Rev. Richard Whitman and Rev. Billy Nowell will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, NC.
Mr. Young was born on January 11, 1934 in Johnston County, NC to the late Ulysses Young and Allie Mae Lee. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Mickey Young and Gary Young, and a brother, Leo Young. Mr. Young owned and operated Young Refrigeration and Air. He was also a US Army and US Air Force Veteran. Mr. Young was a member of Smyrna Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Betty Frances Lee Young; sons, Tony Young and wife, Sandra; and Marty Young and wife, Wanda; grandchildren, Majesta Carter, Jarret Young, Casey Johnson, Corey Johnson, and Wesley Johnson; great-grandchildren, Dakota Carter, Marlee Carter, Chandler Johnson, Brecklee Johnson, Brodey Johnson, and Rylan Johnson; great-great grandson, Reece Johnson; sister, Jackie Lee, brother, Jesse G. Lee; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:45PM-1:45PM, Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Smyrna Free Will Baptist Church 11415 NC Hwy 96 S, Dunn, NC 28334, and other times at the home.
