Thomas "Tommy" Zelenka Jr

December 2, 1974 - January 18, 2026

With sadness in our hearts, we share the passing of Thomas "Tommy" Zelenka Jr., who left us

unexpectedly on January 18, 2026. Tommy was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and

friend. He was hardworking, creative, and thoughtful in everything he did, always willing to go

above and beyond for others.

Tommy was born in Hanford, California, to Thomas and Ellen Zelenka. He attended Hanford

Area Schools and graduated from Hanford High School in 1993 and College of the Sequoias.

He was a standout athlete, excelling in baseball, basketball, and football. In his youth, he played

for Hanford Youth Baseball and Hanford Pop Warner. During high school, he competed on the

football, basketball, and baseball teams and later went on to play football at the College of the

Sequoias. Tommy never stopped following sports and was a loyal fan of the Chicago Bears,

Chicago Cubs, and the LA Lakers.

Tommy was a devoted and loving father and was incredibly proud of his son, Tyler. He admired

the young man Tyler had become and took great pride in his character, work ethic, and

accomplishments. In recent years, he welcomed sons Gunner and Drake with open arms and

was a wonderful example of what it meant to be a loving father.

He reunited with his high school sweetheart, Denise, in 2022. He often said they were never

truly apart, and they were married in 2023.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Denise Zelenka (Raygoza); sons Tyler Zelenka, Drake Dias, and

Gunner Dias; brothers Kenneth Zelenka and JR Zelenka (Rochelle); sisters Cheryl Reed (Jim),

Tracy Booth (Chad), Cindy Halal (Marc), Heather Zelenka, and Christina Aguirre (Billy);

stepmother Jan Zelenka; eight nephews and twelve nieces; and four great-nephews and six

great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Zelenka Sr; mother, Ellen Zelenka Aguirre; and

brother, Robert Zelenka.
