Thureal Harre, Jr, 81, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, formerly of Brownstown, Illinois, died on Monday, January 22, 2024 at CHI St. Vincent's Hospital, Hot Springs.
Thureal was born on Tuesday, January 12, 1943 in Sefton, Illinois to Thureal, Sr. and Anna (Rush) Harre. He graduated from Brownstown High School. He married Adre Ann Potter on August 12, 1962 and she preceded him in death on December 14, 1994. They had four daughters. He was a retired civil engineer and a member of the Altamont Masonic Lodge. He was an avid fan and owner of horses in the harness racing circuit.
He is survived by: his fiancé, Judy Hunter of Hot Springs; daughters, Nikki (Brad) Sidwell, Robbi (Kenny) Phillips, Michele (Andy) Powell and Danyele (Bruce) Boaz, all of Brownstown; grandchildren, Ryan (Ketra) Sidwell of Kinmundy, Breann (Daniel) Thomason of Salem, Jacob (Haley) Goldsborough of St. Louis, Missouri, Cody (Heather) Goldsborough of Brownstown and Andrew Powell of Brownstown; step-grandchildren, Rachel (Chris) Kline of Stewardson, Brandon Phillips of Houston, Texas, Shelby (Robbie) Spence of Brownstown, Bruce (Gena) Boaz, Jr of Vandalia and Christina (Kevin) Kramer of Strasburg; 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; siblings, Mary Stewart of North Carolina, Helen (Bill) Holman of Brownstown, Sheila (Jim) Pruett of Brownstown, Lloyd Harre of Brownstown, Tammy (Kent) Woolsey of Vandalia, and Teresa (Kent) Durbin of Vandalia.
Thureal was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Adre Ann, and his sister Nancy Pryor.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the donors choice.
