Tia Renae Baehr (Martin), lovingly known as “TT” to the many children she cherished, passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 43 in her hometown of Goochland, Virginia.
Born and raised in Goochland, Tia built a life full of deep friendships, community involvement, and boundless love. While she held many roles throughout her life, none meant more to her than being a wife and mother. She was the proud and devoted mom to Landon (Samantha), Gabbi, and Harper, and a beloved wife to her husband of 23 years, Jason Baehr.
She is also survived by her parents, Michelle and Nick Nixon, and her brothers, Chip Martin and Trace Nixon (Ashley), and many other loving family members. Her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched with her fierce love and unwavering kindness. Tia was preceded in death by Paul Martin, Roger (PAPA) Thurston, and Anita (GRAMMY) Nixon.
Tia’s warmth, radiant smile, and open heart touched everyone she met. She had a gift for making strangers feel like friends and her deep faith in God guided her through each and every day. Whether she was coordinating events, serving in her church, or soaking up the sun on a beach or a cruise, Tia brought joy, light, and laughter to all around her.
