Timothy W. “Tim” Chaltry passed away on July 9, 2025. Tim was born on September 4, 1958, at Chandler AFB, AZ, to Michael Joseph Chaltry, Jr., and Joyce Marie Dettman. He was a beloved husband, father, papa, brother, and uncle. He is a 1976 graduate of S.D. Lee High School. He met the love of his life, Bonnie S. Groh, whom he married on March 10, 1979, and they had two children, Stephanie and Derek. With a big personality and a smile for all, he never met a stranger. Tim loved the outdoors and grew up camping, hunting, and fishing. Activities he was happy to share and pass along to his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his quick wit, kind heart, and sarcastic nature. Tim was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind is loving wife of 46 years, Bonnie, their children Stephanie (Cory) Long of Gulfport, MS, and Derek (Amanda) Chaltry of Steens, MS; brother Mike (Teresa) Chaltry of Kathleen, GA, sister Mary Beth (Richard) Williams of Meridian, MS, and sister Colleen (Art) Reyes of Steens, MS. He also leaves his granddaughters, Amy, Charlotte, Samantha, and Maggie; grandson, Tucker; and grand dog, Thor. A visitation will be held Wednesday July 16, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Woodland Baptist Church 3033 Ridge Road Columbus, MS 39705.
