Tim Thein Htike

Tim Thein Htike, beloved husband, father, and business leader, passed away on June 14th, 2025, after a courageous, nearly three-year battle with stage 4 lung cancer. He had just turned 58 years old the month prior.
Tim was born on May 9th, 1967, in Burma (Myanmar), where he grew as an impoverished village boy, honing his super street smarts. He attended the Yangon Institute of Economics, where he met his college sweetheart and future wife, Khaing Hnin Soe. Their partnership, built on deep love and mutual respect, (mainly attempting to make his wife happy and less noisy), spanned over 38 wonderful years.
Shortly after their marriage, Tim and Khaing moved to Singapore, the place where Tim began a distinguished 32-year career in the oil and gas industry. While in Singapore, they welcomed their eldest son, Roy Thu Htike, and baby daughter, Yoon Wadi Htike, into the world.
In 2008, the family relocated to the United States, where Tim's visionary leadership transformed Midcontinent Equipment Inc. from a struggling operation into a thriving and respected international business. His wisdom, perseverance, and integrity eventually led him to become the sole owner of the company in 2025, a fitting culmination of 17 years of tireless work and unwavering belief in his team, his mission, and his love for his family.
Tim was known for his sharp intellect, humble demeanor, and a quiet generosity that touched the lives of many. Though he often played it cool-never one for a big hug-his care for family and friends was always deeply felt and freely given.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Khaing; his loving children, Roy and Yoon; and countless friends, colleagues, and loved ones who will forever remember his warmth, strength, and the lasting impact he made on their lives.
Tim's legacy is one of transformation-of businesses, of lives, and of hearts. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. Rest In Peace.
