Tim Lewis Jones Jr., age 39, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away tragically on February 6, 2026, due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
Born on July 16, 1986, in Salt Lake City, Tim faced significant lifelong challenges that limited his ability to fully function independently. Despite these hardships, he remained deeply loved by his family and those who knew him.
Tim was the cherished oldest son of Thera Monique (Carl) Troutman and Tim Jones Sr. He was a devoted brother to Monique (Chris) Smith and Ronald Thompson.
Although his life included struggle, Tim's family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who have gone before him, including his grandfather, Dale Mark Young, and his grandmother, Dione.
"A Peaceful Dawn
When my last earthly day is done,
And a new morning breaks for you,
A soft hand came, not seen by one,
To guide my spirit gently through.
The Angel whispered of a place,
Prepared for me beyond the blue,
Where I would see my Maker's face,
Though I must leave the ones I knew.
I stepped across the final sill,
And knew the journey was complete;
Before the Throne, my heart was still,
And found a home so true and sweet.
The Father smiled and bade me stand:
"Your life of trial is now behind;
This is the joy I had all planned,
Eternity's new dawn you find."
"Because of Jesus Christ, the grave is not the end. It is a doorway." (Russell M. Nelson)
May the loving arms of Jesus keep us close to you until the glorious day when we shall meet again. We look forward to that perfect day when God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying. Revelation 21:4
