Tim Lewis Obituary

Timothy Howe Lewis, a devoted husband, father, and longtime public servant of Yorktown, passed away on Father's Day. Tim was a dedicated police boat operator, field trainer, firearms, special weapons, tactics instructor, and a member of the City of Hampton's SWAT team -roles he proudly held for 25 years before retiring. In retirement, Tim enjoyed winters in Florida, where he could relax by the pool and soak in the sunshine he so loved. A fitness enthusiast, Tim embraced an active lifestyle and maintained a positive outlook on life. Tim is survived by his loving wife, Cathie Hogge Lewis; his sons, Timothy Lewis and Mitchell Knight; and his furry companion, Jake, along with cherished friends and family members. In keeping with Tim's wishes, no public services will be held. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. In his memory, Tim would have loved for you to spend time outdoors, enjoy the warmth of the sun, and perhaps treat yourself to a seafood dinner. He would be honored to have you sign his guest book. Services under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home.
