Tim Rhodes, 63, of Webster, Florida, passed away on October 13, 2025, in Webster, Florida. He was born on March 7, 1962, in Okeechobee, Florida. Tim lived a life marked by service, devotion to family, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
Tim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1980 to 1984. During his service, he was stationed in Okinawa and at Camp Lejeune. He achieved the rank of Corporal before receiving an honorable discharge. His time in the Marines instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and commitment that he carried throughout his life.
For the past 43 years, Tim shared his life with his beloved wife, Misty Rhodes. Together they built a loving home and raised five children: Erin Webb of Webster, Florida Amber Wells of Croom, Florida, Kristen Jones of Bushnell, Florida, Ashly Martin of Bushnell, Florid, and Tyler Rhodes of the Webster, Florida. Tim was a devoted father and grandfather to ten grandchildren-Bryce, Brayden, Dylan, Parker, Pyper, Casey, Willow, Colton, Sage, and Rhett-each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
He is also survived by his two sisters: Ann Scruggs of Tennessee and Gail Lee of Florida. Tim held a special place in his heart for his many nieces and nephews and cherished the time spent with them. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leila and John Rhodes, as well as his two brothers, Alan and Danny Rhodes.
Tim had a passion for fishing -it didn't matter when or where; if there was water nearby, he was ready with a rod in hand. He was not only an avid fisherman but also a generous teacher of the sport. If you weren't catching anything and he was, he'd share a secret to help you along. His love for reading filled quiet moments with discovery and reflection, while trips to the movies offered him another favorite pastime.
Later in life, Tim found spiritual comfort at The Bridge Church of God in Linden, Florida. He attended services whenever he felt well enough and often remarked afterward with a smile, "I felt like that sermon was just for me."
Those who knew Tim will remember him as someone who loved deeply and gave freely. Whether offering advice or lending a helping hand, he was always there when needed. His warm smile and steady presence were constants in the lives of those around him.
A memorial service celebrating Tim's life will be held at Purcell's Funeral Home, with burial at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Details will be shared with family and friends.
May Tim's memory bring comfort to all who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life well lived. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.purcellfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, Florida.
