Timothy P. Sauer Sr., 70, passed away at Bellin Hospital on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born in Green Bay, WI on January 31, 1953, to William and Ella (Summers) Sauer.
He graduated from Abbot-Pennings High School in 1971. He attended NWTC, earning a Police Science degree. He worked for the City of Green Bay as a bus driver, then as a 911 operator at GBPD and he retired from the city's printing department.
He married Colleen Hanson of Stoughton, WI on June 11, 1977, in Green Bay.
As a lifelong Packer fan finally getting his season tickets was incredibly rewarding to him. Tim enjoyed hanging out at the family cabin. Later, he had great enjoyment at the camper, where the whole family gathered most weekends during camping season.
Tim is survived by his wife, Colleen; his children Elizabeth (Jason) Pries, Timothy Jr (Kristin) and Emily Sauer. He is further survived by his grandchildren Annika, Elodie and Inessa Pries, Timothy Sol Viduski-Sauer, and Ida Arroyo-Sauer; his siblings William Sauer, Edith Sauer, John Sauer; his brothers-in-law, Dean Hanson, Pat Hanson, Bill Fried, and sister-in-law Jeannette; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth St De Pere, from 4-7pm. A prayer service will conclude the evening. Visitation will continue Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at St. Willebrord Catholic Church, 209 S. Adam St. Green Bay beginning at 9-10:15am. Mass of a Christian Burial will begin at 10:30am. Entombment will be in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
Many thanks to the staff at Bellin ICU for their care and compassion during Tim's short stay.
