Tim Yost

Timothy J. Yost, a cherished lifelong resident of Chester, peacefully departed this world at his home on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, after a brave and valiant battle with cancer. In his final days, he received loving care from his devoted daughter, Ruth. Born on December 12, 1961, in East Liverpool to the late Morell E. and Evelyn Ruth Marshell Yost, Tim led a life filled with purpose and community spirit. He held various jobs over the years, but his heart truly belonged to Taco Huey's in Chester, where he worked alongside his beloved aunt and uncle, Shelby and Hughie Graham. Tim proudly served his community as a dedicated member of the Chester Volunteer Fire Department and was honored to attend Oak Glen High School. Tim was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Joey Caughey; his brothers, James and Robert Yost; and his sisters, Shelby Graham and Connie Bormann, all of whom he held dear. He leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by his two daughters, Ruth Yost of Toronto and Jamie Caughey of Wheeling; his sister, Sharon (Paul) Starr of Chester; and a cherished family of 13 grandchildren, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tim's remarkable life at the Chester First Christian Church on Tuesday, December 9, at 4:00 p.m. Following the service, a heartfelt time of remembrance filled with food and fellowship will warm the gathering. His care has been entrusted to the skilled hands of the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester, ensuring that his journey be honored with the respect he deserves.
