Timoteo Salinas Junio (1932 to 2025)
Timoteo S Junio, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, of Marina, California, passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Maximina Novida Junio, his daughter, Lucille Junio Alker, his grandchildren, Brendan Charles Timothy Alker and Katherine Joyce Alker, and his son-in-law, Kevin John Alker.
Timoteo was born on August 22, 1932, to Celestino Junio and Generosa Salinas Junio in the village of Amamperis, Villasis, Pangasinan, Philippines. He was the eldest of 9 children. Timoteo was a member of the Philippine Navy and in 1961 was selected by the Navy to travel to Chicago for specialized training on diesel engines. He achieved a bachelor's degree in engineering at Feati University prior to moving to California in 1970. He worked at the Spreckles Sugar Plant until his retirement in 1982. Following retirement, he trained as an Accountant at Central Coast College.
Timoteo was preceded in death by both parents, Celestino and Generosa; his sister, Eufrepis (Oping) Junio Gutierrez; brother, Dominador (Ador) Salinas Junio; nieces, Crystal Junio Canoy, Erich (Chifer) Junio Regunan and Irene Ramirez Diaz, nephew Jimmy Junio Regunan and Cousin Ceferino Nazareno Junio.
He is survived by a large and loving family. In addition to his wife, daughter and grandchildren, Timoteo is survived by his siblings, their spouses, their children, their children's spouses and their children: the children of his sister, Oping and their families – Romeo Gutierrez, Precilita Escueta, Elizabeth Mercado, Rosemarie Comille, Angelito Gutierrez; his sister, Madrona (Medring) Ramirez, her children and their families - Cecilia Ramirez, Susana Delan, Tendora (Dori) Delmindo, Luisa Elizabeth Ramirez, Conrado Ramirez, Rosalie (Denet) Ramirez; his brother Armando, his wife, Evelyn Respecio Junio, their children and their families - Arevel & Robert Castro (Jerick, Jeralee, Jerold Christian), Armando II & Teresa Junio (Kristofer, Alissandra, Alejandro), Arnell & Rachel Junio (Abigail, Alex); his sister, Erlinda (Linda) Regunan, her children and their families – Crisostomo (Cris) & Judith Junio (Kristine, Jasmine), Arlene & Dante Ludovice (Mark Joseph, Jodell & Doane Crisologo), and Alberto Regunan; his sister, Victoriana, her husband, Ruperto DelaCruz, and their children - Francy DelaCruz, Veronica DelaCruz and Ruvic DelaCruz; his sister-in-law, wife of brother Ador, Virginia Masiglat Junio, their children and their families – Leonard & Victoria Junio (Vinard & Nikki (their children Thalia and Ian), Leovic, Marilen), Dovilyn & Ryan Medina (Julius, Jayden) and Jun Junio; his brother, Jaime, his wife Thelma Cayabyab Junio, their children and their families – James Junio & Dianne (fiancée), Justin & Lauren Junio (Arie, Emmy, Myla), and son-in-law Jason Canoy; his brother, Cesar, his
wife Nieves Masiglat Junio, their children and their families - Coleen & Ceasar Regaliza, Rowena & Joe Fazzina, and Lotus Junio.
Visitation will be on August 21, 1:00pm to 7:00pm at Mission Mortuary, 450 Camino El Estero,
Monterey, California. Chapel Blessing will be at the same location, Mission Mortuary, on August 22, 1:00pm. Interment will be on August 22, 2:00pm at San Carlos Cemetery.
