Timothy Lee Baker, 74, of Sandusky, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Firelands Regional Medical Center. Tim was born in Bellevue on July 17, 1951, to the late Garald and Arlene (Weller) Baker. He graduated from Clyde High School in 1969. After high school, Tim served in the Army National Guard.

Tim was co-owner of Al and Tim's Foodland for a brief period before joining Whirlpool Corporation. While working at Whirlpool, he earned a bachelor's degree from Tiffin University and retired as an assembly engineer.

Tim was an avid golfer and bowler for many years until his leg amputation in 2019. He enjoyed landscaping for himself and others. Tim also had a wonderful collection of model trains, which he displayed in his basement for several years. He was a passionate supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes and a devoted fan of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions.

Tim is survived by his sister, Vicki (Ron) Newsom of Clyde; his brother, Todd (Tammy) Baker of Clyde; nieces, Charity (Jerry) Castle of Clyde and Shelby Baker of Albany, OR; nephews, Adam (Christine) Newsom and Riley Baker of Clyde; great-niece, Emma Castle; and great-nephew, Chase Castle.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 3 to 5 PM at the Auxter-Recker Funeral Home, 218 S Main St., Clyde, OH. Burial will be private in Bakertown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org) or a charity of the donor's choice.
