TIMOTHY LLOYD BLUCHER

Timothy L. Blucher, 69, passed away peacefully at his Hampton home on June 8, 2023. He was born August 3, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Jane Hoen Holter, and raised in Cedarcroft. Tim graduated from Calvert Hall College and was a member of the 1972 MSA Champion Lacrosse Team. He continued his lacrosse career at Mount Saint Mary's College where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Tim spent the early part of his career at Carling National Breweries, Sweetheart Cup Corporation, and Purity Packaging as a regional and national sales manager. In 1994 he joined M&Q Packaging Corp. (Limerick, PA) as Director of Sales and Marketing where he spent the remainder of his career. During his 23-year tenure, Tim developed many new products, registered 3 patents in his name, and earned a master's degree in Food Marketing from St. Joseph's University. He spearheaded several proprietary packaging solutions for companies ranging from international fast-food chains to household kitchen brands to the American Red Cross.

Tim loved going to the beach, watching cowboy movies (especially those starring John Wayne), and building huge fires for winter evenings. He most enjoyed long walks around the Hampton Mansion on a cool fall day, followed by sipping a glass of scotch in an Adirondack chair with his golden retriever, Daisy, by his side.

Tim will be deeply missed by his wife of 43 years, Ann "Boo" Blucher (nee Leutritz); daughter, Brindell Leigh Zink and her husband Tom; daughter, Jacqueline Blucher Ariosa and her husband Adam; 5 grandchildren, Tommy, Arden, and Leighton Zink, Ellie and Whit Ariosa; sister, Deborah B. Irvin (the late Thomas), and sister, Pamela B. Knott (Henry A.). He was a devoted brother-in-law of the late Jan S. Parker. He will be remembered fondly by his extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Church of the Good Shepherd, 1401 Carrollton Ave, Towson, MD on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tim's name may be made to the National Park Service and mailed to Superintendent, Hampton National Historic Site, 535 Hampton Lane, Towson, MD 21286.
