Timothy Wade Bowman Sr

Mr. Timothy Wade Bowman Sr., age 75, of Ararat, VA, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. He was born on March 21, 1950 in Patrick County to the late Kermit and Clara Marshall Bowman. Mr. Bowman was a faithful member of Blue Hollow Baptist Church for many years. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Bowman; daughters, Wanda and Terry Howlett, Tammy and Jerry Hutchens, Elizabeth and Jason Long; son, Timothy Bowman Jr; grandchildren, Shay and Sarah Howlett, Garrett and Courtney Howlett, Nicole and Tyler Turney, Trevor and Cate Bolen, Ben Bolen, Abby and Jonnathan Pell, Emily and Carson Faulkner; great-grandchildren, Macie, Carlee, Harper, Cooper, Declan, Grady, Corban, Caelynn, Atlas, Walker, Sutton, and Baby Howlett on the way; sisters and brother-in-law, Velda and Bill Marshall, Lucille Hooker; brother, Ricky Bowman Sr and fiancé Amy Dalton; sister-in-law, Pamela Wood; several nieces and nephews; fur babies, Dog, and Mookie. In addition to his parents Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by family members, R.M and Alice Bowman, Gray and June Bowman, Ken and Earlene Bowman, Paul and Lurene Bowman, Carlene and Johnnie Cain, Harold Bowman, Ted Bowman, Lynn Bowman, and Buck Hooker. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Blue Hollow Baptist Church with service conducted by Rev. Rickey Martin, Rev. Michael Morrison, and Rev. Ed Bowman, and Bro. Jerry Hutchens. Burial will follow at Doe Run Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 PM until the time for the service at Blue Hollow Baptist Church.
