Timothy Brannon Obituary
He was the son of the late Kermit Eugene and Marilynn Roome Brannon.
Kip was a graduate of the class of 1967 at Ripley High School in Ripley, WV. He graduated from the West Virginia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He served in the West Virginia Army National Guard Special Forces Unit. As a mechanical engineer he enjoyed teaching and mentoring those around him. A true Boy Scout and farm boy, he loved the outdoors, could fix almost anything and loved to tell a good "dad" joke.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Terry Lynn Brown Brannon; daughters, Jennifer Brannon and Allison Kerrigan and husband, Jamie; grandsons, Jack and Grant Kerrigan; sister, Kerynn Sovic and husband, Randy; uncle, Jim Brannon and wife, Drema; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve Brown and wife, Mary Jo and Bruce Brown and wife, Kelly; several nieces and nephews, as well as many beloved cousins and extended family.
Visitation will be at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 2, 2024, with a service in the Chapel immediately following. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

Kip was a neighbor and an across the fence philosopher on neighborhood issues. We are sadden by his passing and will his miss his attention to his "park" like home.
