It is with a broken heart and overwhelming sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Tim Brethauer on October 10, in Weaverville, CA. His death was attributed to a single vehicle accident. Tim (aka, Timmy B., Tito, Dirty Bird, T-Bone) lived in Arcata, CA. He was the owner of Boldt Metalworks and Melvin's Power Washing Services.
Tim was born in Indianapolis, IN in 1975. He was a 1993 graduate of Brebeuf High School, Indianapolis, IN, and a 2001 graduate of Western Colorado University, Gunnison, CO. Tim was a resident of Crested Butte, CO prior to living in California.
Tim is survived by his parents, Ellen Brethauer and Marvin and Kathi Brethauer, brothers Jeff Brethauer (Meg) and Alex Brethauer (Megan), children Sam and Ellie Brethauer, their mother Heather Brethauer, nephew Van Brethauer, and dog Melvin.
Tim was blessed to have had many wonderful lifelong friends who shared memories and love after hearing of his passing. He lived life to the fullest with the philosophy, "If it's not dangerous, it's not worth doing." No Fear!
It's hard to imagine not having Tim on this earth, but he will be reunited with those who have gone before him, and no one will be more excited to see him than his first dog, Roy.
Tim's Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
