Randel “Randy” L. Blankenship 78 of Athens, GA., passed away on September 16, 2025. He was the son of Frank Blankenship of Port Charlotte, FL, and preceded by his mother, Annabel Asher and by his son, Andrew Blankenship.

Randy was raised in Madrid, Spain until high school and lived in Dayton, Ohio for many years and then moved to Athens, GA. He founded Aardvark Extermination. He touched many lives in every walk of his life. He was a friend of Bill for 47 years. He never met a stranger. He was a veteran and served with the United States Air Force and Air National Guard. A member of New Covenant Worship Center.

Randy was a loving husband, devoted father, grand father and great grandfather, son, brother, friend, prayer partner.

Survivors include: beloved bride, Donna Blankenship; sons, Shann (Suzanne)Cooke, Michael (Kathy)Gearing;daughters, Jana (Rob) Henry, Melissa (Kevin)Wood, Jodie (Jeremiah)Wilson, Katherine (Nick)Landrum; grandchildren, Cody Cooke, (Victoria and Raelyn Cook), Edwin Wood, Mont Wood, Morgan Wood, Lillian Wood, Jessica Henry, Alexandra Henry, Ryan Henry, and Andrea Henry, Rickey Dyer, Macie Wilson, Morgan Wilson, Jasmine Eklund, Emma Gumby, Payton and Dawson Landrum, Asher Blankenship; great grand children, Raelyn, Madison, Rowan, Cynthia, Tucker, Wilkes, Charlie, River, Brynlee, and Stone.
