Timothy Campbell Obituary

Timothy Scott Campbell
Born: January 28, 1963 in Aurora, IL
Died: February 5, 2026 in Chicago, IL
Timothy Scott Campbell, born on January 28, 1963, in Aurora, Illinois, departed this world on February 5, 2026, in Chicago, surrounded by the love of his family. A dedicated electrician, Timothy's hands and heart were devoted to his craft, bringing light and power to countless lives. In January of 2011, he married his beloved wife, Seunghee Shin, in Sycamore, Illinois. This partnership was one woven through laughter, shared dreams, and deep affection, creating a warm and loving home. Timothy's cherished family includes his daughter Jessica and son Joon, and mother -in-law, Yoon Choi through whom his legacy will continue to shine. Timothy was not just defined by his profession but also by his passions and vibrant spirit. He reveled in the thrill of golfing, the excitement of car racing, and the serenity of fishing. His enthusiasm for life's pleasures was evident in his love for music, frequently seen enjoying concerts spanning country, rock, and heavy metal genres. Whether riding his Harley down open roads or cheering for his favorite teams in the NHL, NFL, and college sports, Timothy lived life with a zest that inspired those around him. Most importantly, he treasured the moments spent with his family, creating a tapestry of memories filled with love and laughter. Timothy is survived by his wife, Seunghee Shin; children, Jessica and Joon; mother-in-law, Yoon Choi; and siblings, Pete Campbell, Steve Campbell (Jennie Smith), Jeff (Missy) Campbell, Joe (Amy) Campbell, and Kate Hardin (Kerry). He is also remembered fondly by his many nieces and nephews-Packard (Torie) Campbell, Corey (Gabby) Hardin, Breanne (Marvin) Fultz, Ryan Hardin, Taylor Corvo (Mike), Alijah Campbell, McKenna (Tim) McNally, Grant Campbell, Lexie Campbell, and Noah Campbell-as well as great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends who were blessed to have him in their lives. Timothy is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Mary (McManus) Campbell, who nurtured his kind heart and adventurous spirit. I worked with Tim in the IBEW.He was pivotal to my early years success. We became great friends there because I looked up to him and his experience. We became friends outside of work, riding, and enjoying a cocktail or two.Definitely will be remembered by me for his personality, and a usual " whats up, dude"....Extremely glad that our paths crossed.

Wow, I am completely stunned. Just found out this morning and am in total shock. Chachi was one of my "besties" back in the 70's & 80's. We partied, played, and rocked out together. From Alpine Valley to ALL the bars in Lasalle county, we had our time. Now Glen O. is gone, Jimmie G. and now Tim. My turn will come and just hope we can get the band back together when it does. True friends are tough to come by and it was an honor to have Tim as one of mine. God rest your soul my rock-n-roll brother....
