Timothy Cummings Obituary
Jan 14, 1942 - Feb 27, 2025
Age 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Son of Timothy and Agnes Cummings. Tim was the eldest of five siblings, Kevin, Lawrence, Margaret, and James, all of whom predeceased him. A devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Tim also made lifelong friends and left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He married Mary Jane Guffner in 1965, and together they shared 59 beautiful years. Tim proudly served in the Marine Corps and later dedicated 50 years to the Asbestos Workers Local No. 4, shaping its pension program to benefit generations. His family was his life's greatest achievement and joy, and he took immense pride in being a source of strength, love, and guidance for them. Beloved husband to Mary Jane Cummings; cherished father to Patrick, Timothy III, Michael (Mary), Karin (Dale) Wilcox, and Kathleen (Charisma) Bogue; loving grandfather to Jessica (Wilcox) Badgley, Amanda Wilcox, Brandie Cummings, the late Murphy Ryan, Kaileen Ryan, and Connor Bogue; great-grandfather to Noah Cummings; proud uncle to James (Terri), Andrea (Tyler) Duvall; and great-uncle to Olivia and Julia Duvall.
Relatives and friends may visit the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3155 Orchard Park Road, (716) 675-9027, Wednesday, March 5th from 3 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 6th, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 115 O'Connell Avenue, Buffalo, NY. Please assemble at church. The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A gathering will follow at Tewksbury Lodge, 249 Ohio Street, Buffalo, NY. Tim was the BEST of the BEST. He had a devilish twinkle in his eyes and always a smile on his face. Tim was dedicated to his family and it as evident by how his kids and grandkids respected and treated him. We were neighbors for decades and Tim was always there to offer any kind of help. David and I loved that man.

Your dad will be remembered forever for the legacy of love he left. You have been given the most beautiful example of God´s love because you have an earthly dad who cared, loved, & sacrificed so much to raise such a beautiful family. His love lives on through you & one day your heavenly reunion will be full of joy. It´s only goodbye for a little while. Until then may our Heavenly Father watch over you, give you strength to conquer your life goals, and joy in your heart, knowing you are precious in your fathers eyes now & forever.

As a casual acquaintance I knew Tim for his wonderful sense of humor and wit. He had an infectious smile and laughter. He was a man whose eyes lit up when he shook your hand hello. Tim was a wonderful friend of my brother and sister-in-law. May he rest in peace!
