Timothy Craig "Tim" Darling

Timothy Craig Darling of Perkasie, PA died peacefully on Wednesday morning, September 10, 2025. He was 66 years old.

Tim was the beloved husband of 23 years to Jessica Stevens Darling.

Born in Coos Bay, Oregon he was a son of the late Claude and Betty June Hord Darling.

Tim was accepted into the architecture program at Oregon State University in 1978 where he was a walk-on gymnast until 1981. After the gymnastics program was dropped, he was recruited by Penn State University where he specialized and excelled in parallel bars. He competed nationally and internationally for Penn State until 1984.

Among the many endeavors, he was a Hollywood stuntman and movie extra who appeared in many movies and shows throughout the years, most notably was his participation in National Lampoon's Animal House, which was filmed near his hometown in Oregon. He was also a coach at Woodward Gymnastics Camp, and one of the early members of Calvary Chapel in Philadelphia. He travelled to Russia in the winter of 1984 with a strong conviction to bring the Word of God to Christians behind the Iron Curtain. While in Russia, he was able to make contact with an underground church and started a Bible smuggling ring.

In his later years, Tim was a well-respected local Gymnastics Coach. Most importantly he was a loving devoted husband, father, and devout Christian. Tim will be greatly missed but eternally loved by everyone in his life and loved by him.

In addition to his beloved wife Jessica, Tim is survived by his adoring and devoted daughter Samantha Jean Darling. He is also survived by his two sisters Patti Morrison and her husband Erik and Kim Turner, and his two brothers Doug Darling and his wife Rosie and Jeff Darling and his wife Rhonda, numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

Tim's family will receive friends on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 9:30am until his Memorial Service at 11:00am at Doylestown Presbyterian Church, 127 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. His interment will follow at Doylestown Cemetery at 12:00pm. Friends and family are encouraged by Jessica and Samantha to attend a luncheon at Plumsteadville Inn at 1:00pm.
