Timothy John Davies, age 72, Mosinee, passed away at home surrounded by family on March 3 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on March 1, 1953, in Lincoln, England, the son of the late Emrys and Eileen (Jones) Davies. His father’s occupation as a chaplain in the British Royal Air Force offered Tim
the opportunity to live in Great Britain, Malta, and Germany as a young child. After completing his schooling in Wales, he moved to London, where he met Becky Smith in 1975 while she was studying abroad. In 1979, they were married in Mosinee and recently celebrated their 46th anniversary. Tim cherished spending time with his wife and two children, Sarah and Michael. His patience, his kindness, his affectionate nature, and his dry sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Tim’s legacy will live on through the lessons he taught them, the love he shared, and the memories they made.
Tim held a variety of jobs, most recently at Arow Global, and after retirement, as a non-emergency medical transport driver. Tim loved retirement! He enjoyed spending hours in his basement workshop trying to build the perfect birdhouse, squirrel feeder, and owl house. His children appreciated his help with DIY home improvements. Tim and Becky were able to cross off many bucket list destinations traveling around the world. Finding a new restaurant was always an adventure. He took great pride in his British heritage and was thrilled to be asked about his accent. Tim was a true dog lover and he relished the time he spent with his dogs. He was also active in the Mosinee United Methodist Church, serving as an usher and a liturgist.
Survivors include his wife Becky, children Sarah and Michael (Alissa) Davies, sister Susan (Alan) Bush, brother-in-law Steve (Renee) Smith, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Emrys and Eileen Davies, brother Peter Davies, and in-laws David and Esther Smith.
As per Tim’s wishes, a private family service will be held.
Please join us in celebrating Tim’s life on Wednesday, March 12th from 4-7 pm at Pinewood Supper Club. We invite you to raise a glass in his memory.
