Timothy James Dunn

Timothy J. Dunn, born in Detroit, Michigan went to be with his Lord November 2 nd, 2025 in Luna Pier, MI at the age of 68. He was the youngest son of the late Harry and Ava Dunn. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 47 years, Jennifer Dunn. Loving Dad to son Michael, his wife Kohl and his latest favorite role, Ada's Grampa. He is survived by his dear brothers, Richard and wife Jan Dunn; Roger and wife Judy Dunn. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their dear children whom he loved.

Tim was the pulpit minister for the Flat Rock Church of Christ in Flat Rock, MI whom he served for over 20 years, as well as long years with the Adrian and the Sunset (Taylor) Churches of Christ. Tim also served as a prison Chaplain in Texas and Indiana as well as with the Wayne County Sheriff and Detroit Metropolitan Airport Police Chaplaincy programs.

He was dedicated to serving the Lord by teaching and preaching the Word of God for close to 45 years. His church family meant the world to him, but he always said he was looking forward to a heavenly home with his savior, Jesus Christ.

Tim enjoyed playing sports and watching the Detroit teams and U of M Football. He was active all his life-working outside and tinkering with home projects. He also loved the search for a good deal and enjoyed visiting resale shops of all kinds. Tim survived a recent bout with cancer, and the family wishes to thank the medical staff at the U of M Rogel Cancer Center in Ann Arbor for their kindness and excellent care. He was looking forward to the arrival of his first grandson this month, and while Tim's passing was sudden, his legacy will live on in his family and his sharing of the message of the gospel. He will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers or memorial gifts the family would appreciate donations to the Flat Rock Church of Christ to be used toward the Orphans Lifeline project or Disaster Relief programs.
