Timothy Endsley Obituary

CHAMPAIGN - Timothy Lynn Endsley, 64, of Sublimity, Ore., passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025.

Tim was born on Oct. 7, 1960, in Champaign, to Truman and Patricia Severns Endsley. After graduating from the University of Illinois, Tim married the love of his life, Bonnie Belinda Freeman, in 1989. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, adventure and deep devotion to one another.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Truman Tyler (Kirstin) Endsley, Harrison Severns (Quaylynn) Endsley and Rachel Lynn Endsley; a grandson, whom he loved dearly, Apollo Severns Endsley; two siblings, Amylee Jane (Phil) Vella of Champaign and Truman Randall (Kathryn) Endsley of Elverson, Pa.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Truman Willard Endsley and Patricia Severns Endsley; and a brother, Richard Allen Endsley.

Tim's compassion extended to all living creatures, as he had a deep love for animals, especially his four cherished granddogs, who brought him so much joy. His love for animals was a constant reminder of his kind and gentle spirit.

Tim dedicated much of his career to the commercial printing industry throughout the country. Tim began his career in Chicago with RR Donnelly (RRD) and was awarded the TE Donnelly Salesperson of the Year Award in 1990. His career led him to Atlanta, where he became owner and president of Pro-Graphics Communication, Inc., which he grew into one of Georgia's fastest-growing private businesses. His career was marked not only by professional success but also by the respect and admiration he earned from those who worked alongside him.

Tim had a lifelong passion for woodworking, which led him to opening his own shop, Endsley Woodworks, in Mahomet, where he spent time hand-crafting fine furniture and custom pieces that will continue to be treasured by his clients, family and friends for years to come. Tim was a wine and coffee connoisseur and an accomplished home chef. As a child, he loved to cook with his mother, and his siblings often referred to him as "Betty Crocker." Carrying on this tradition, he instilled the same passion for cooking in his children. Tim was an avid reader and a talented musician, playing drums in a band all through college. Tim competed fervently in a number of sports during his life, including pole vaulting, speed skating and bike racing.

Tim and Bonnie, soon followed by their children, ventured west to Oregon. The family had little doubt that their pursuits would be successful, because whatever Tim put his mind to, he excelled. He modeled unconditional love and devotion for family and was a beloved father figure and husband. Tim's legacy is his kindheartedness, his unconditional love for his wife and children, his excellent sense of humor, his humble spirit and his gentle soul that put all around him at ease. As a final act of kindness and generosity, Tim gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

A private family service was held at Unger Funeral Chapel, Silverton, Ore., on Aug. 22. A celebration of life open house will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Leaf and Vine Wine Lounge, 107 N. Water Str., Silverton.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to Big Brothers/Big Sisters (bbbs.org/donate/) or to One More Day on the Appalachian Trail (onemoredayontheat.com) in Tim's memory. Arrangments by Unger Funeral Chapel.
