Granby, Timothy J. Ferris, Sr, 68, died on Friday, February 12 at Baystate Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Born in Springfield, MA on July 5, 1941 he was the son of the late John and Gloria (Johnson) Ferris. He lived in Springfield for many years before relocating to Granby in 1984. Tim worked for many years at Pratt and Whitney as an Industrial Engineer. He enjoyed table tennis, softball and participated in the Senior Games playing on the volleyball team. Tim was an avid reader and enjoyed anything electronic. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 26 years, Stephanie (Chomyn), along with his seven children, Eric Seymour and is wife Dawn of Chicopee, Peter Seymour and his wife Karin of N.Y., Timothy Ferris, Jr. and his wife Carissa of NC, Thomas Ferris of CA, Kimberly Converse and her husband David of Hampden, MA, Sandra Decker of Virginia, and Lori Ferris of West Springfield as well as his twelve precious grandchildren, Madeline, Jack, Eden, John, Timmy, Eddie, Zoe, Nathan, Hannah, Elizabeth, David, and Jessica. His siblings, Cynthia Ferris of FL, Holly Horr and her husband Leon , Mary Forgue, Michael Ferris all of Palm Bay FL, Candice Ferris of Virginia and Patrick Ferris and his wife Lucille of Melbourne, FL , sisters-n-law, Catherine Holt and her husband Rick and Mary Jenco and her husband Donald both of Chicopee, also survive him. He was predeceased by his brother John. A Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday February 16 at 10:00 a.m. at St's Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church , 45 Newbury St., Ludlow, with burial to follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in South Hadley. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Beers and Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
