Timothy Alison Geiger, 70, passed away surrounded by his family on December 31, 2023, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.
His memorial service will be at 2 PM on Monday, January 8th at Good Shepherd Church (13110 Moss Road, Charlotte, NC 28273).
Tim was born on May 11, 1953, in Columbia, SC, the youngest of six children born to Clarence and Minnie (Cribb) Geiger. From an early age, he developed a love for music and taught himself to play the guitar, bass and drums. Tim spent his early adult years working to support his family and volunteering on the praise team at Good Shepherd Church in the 1990s and early 2000s.
In addition to music, Tim had many other hobbies and passions that included gardening, reading, cooking, fishing, and painting. Tim's retirement years were just as full as his working years, as he rekindled his love for painting, and began selling his art at local markets. He loved spending time with his family whether it be Sunday lunches with his granddaughter or fishing on the docks of Hamlin Creek at the Isle of Palms.
Tim never met a stranger. He developed many deep friendships at church, work and in the community. He was loved by many.
Tim was predeceased by his parents, two sisters; two brothers; and his wife of 31 years, Marianne Geiger.
Tim is survived by his daughters, Allison (Joe) Kennedy (mother – Sheron B. Gause), April (Mark) Portrais, and Ashton (Dustin) Baker; granddaughter, Montgomery Baker; sister, Celia (Frank) Easler; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

love of the garden and his ability to decorate with all those turtles, was a joy to find them. He exhibited a certain kindness, compassion for others and the ability to make me laugh.
