Timothy Paul Grotness

Timothy Paul Grotness, Timmy "B", age 68, of Riverside California, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from a two-year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and close friends.
Tim was born on March 25, 1956, to parents, Herman Nels Grotness and Delberta Jean Grotness in Riverside California. After graduating from Arlington High School in 1975, he went on to complete a four-year apprenticeship with the I.B. E.W. Local #440 in Riverside California.
Tim went on to work in the Electrical Construction Industry for nearly thirty years. His most common projects were heavy industrial projects, hospitals and schools, where he was often a foreman responsible for the project.
Tim met his wife to be in 1984, Michelle Madeline Ferguson, and they were married on July 27, 1990. The ceremony was in the theater at North High School and included a helicopter ride to the reception at Indian Hills Country Club. They enjoyed a very full marriage with much happiness for over thirty-four years.
Tim enjoyed many hobbies such as cars and trucks, cruising, landscaping and his all-time favorite - Music. Michelle joined Tim's band INNERSTATE and they played locally in clubs and restaurants from 1984 thru 2000. Tim had a way about himself. He knew what he wanted, how it should look and would not accept less of himself.
Tim is survived by his wife, Michelle Grotness, brothers Steve Grotness, Craig Grotness and Barry Grotness, sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Grotness, Ann Grotness, Mark Ferguson, and Michael Ferguson and other aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and caring friends.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents, and his nephew Christopher Grotness.
The funeral service will be held on April 5th at 4:00 PM at Arlington Mortuary located at 9645 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92503. There will be a gathering of Family and Friends with barbecue and live music, at 1210 Via Vallarta, Riverside 92506 beginning at 6:00PM
