Timothy Hohl Obituary

Timothy Hohl

Timothy S. Hohl, 47, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital with his parents and close buddies by his side.

Tim was born in Bridgeport, CT, on March 25, 1974, to Jeff and Raeanne Hohl.

Tim attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help grade school and was a 1992 graduate of St. John's Jesuit High School where he played football, basketball and baseball. Tim attended Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated with a degree in Journalism. He was a member of the Sigma CHI Fraternity (In Hoc) and pitched four years on the Battling Bishops baseball team.

Tim work in the logistic industry for various companies, most recently with The Hub Group as a Carrier Representative. Seems as if he was always working, whether it was as a caddy at Toledo Country Club, mowing lawns for the Andersons, or customer service and sales for Owens Corning. Tim gravitated to the logistics industry where he spent the majority of his working life.

Tim loved music and going to concerts; especially the Grateful Dead and the Dave Matthews Band. Did he ever revel in attending concerts with his friends! He had an abiding love for the St. Louis Cardinals. Rarely was he seen without a Cardinal visor perched on his head.

Tim is survived by his loving parents, Jeff and Raeanne; aunts and uncles, Randy Monsky, Michael (Judy) Hohl, Thomas (Kathy) Hohl, Chris Hubbard, Elizabeth Hohl (John Bailey), Margaret Rende, Fritz (Mary Ann) Hohl, Katie Hohl-Decarlo (Danny Decarlo); 19 cousins; and many loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, C.L., Jr. and Rebecca Hohl, and Raymond and Ruth Monsky.

Tim's family extends their deepest gratitude to St. Luke's Hospital, their doctors, nurses and staff for their outstanding and compassionate care during his stay as well as his family physician at Fallen Timbers.

The outpouring of love and support from his family, former classmates, fraternity brothers, co-workers and others whose lives Tim touched has deeply moved his family. The family is eternally grateful to those friends who were able to spend time with Tim on his last day.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 2255 Central Grove Ave, Toledo, Ohio, 43614, where the family will greet guests starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.

If interested, contributions can be made in Tim's name to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Toledo (olphtoledo.org)

My friend, Tim ~ I will never forget hanging out with you at The Burnley Woods picnic. I will always cherish fond memories of playing kick ball with you in the street. You would yell "car!!" when it was time to get out of the way. And playing football in the rough on the golf course, you would scream "Golfer!" when it was time to move off the rough. I will miss you tremendously & I´m sending lots of prayers to your dear parents.
Hope you have fun in heaven like we had fun as kids. Love ya!!!

Timmy ... the best oldest cousin, who taught me to run through high powered sprinklers on extremely hot days, how to milk the last few drops of gas (and if that didn´t work how to keep the momentum of the car going until one reaches the gas station), how to properly treat toys of one wants to keep them (keep them away from Becca), how to belly laugh,....love DMB. Love you Timmy.
