BOWLING GREEN -- Timothy Alan Kime, 68, passed away on September 9, 2025, in Bowling Green, Ohio, after living courageously with Parkinson's Disease for over 25 years. Born on August 30, 1957, in Elyria, Ohio, Tim's life was marked by resilience, determination, and a deep love for his family.
A proud graduate of North Olmsted High School in the Class of 1975, Tim went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University in 1978. His academic achievements laid the foundation for a successful and impactful career in the insurance and financial services industry. Over the years, he held managerial roles with Met Life and The Guardian across various markets in Ohio and Southern California. Known for his strong work ethic and leadership skills, Tim motivated those around him and earned respect throughout his professional journey mentoring many who remained his friends until his death.
Tim's greatest pride was his family. He is lovingly remembered by his four children: Meghann Bonvie (Chris), Lauren Kime, Nathan Kime (Elizabeth), and Brett Kime (Mikayla). His legacy continues through his seven cherished grandchildren: Bella (15) and Brendan Bonvie (13) of Meghann and Chris; Amelia Perry (2) of Nathan and Elizabeth; Maverick Kime (4), Blaire Kime (2), and newborn twins Monroe and Beckham Kime of Brett and Mikayla. He also leaves behind two younger sisters, Stephanie Anderson (Harry) of West Virginia and Beth Ann Kime of northeast Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn Sue Fields and Larry Elsworth Kime; as well as two younger sisters, Robin Swift and Kourey Kime.
Beyond his professional accomplishments and immense love of his family, Tim found joy in life's passions. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, had a keen interest in world history, and enjoyed owning and admiring classic sports cars. These interests brought him happiness throughout his life and reflected his academic mind and ambitious personality, as well as the fun-loving side of his personality.
Despite being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in his early 40s-a challenge that would define much of his later life-Tim faced each day with courage, strength and determination. In the most recent years prior to his death, caregivers and those close around him enjoyed his kind, gentle, and easy going nature.
May Timothy Alan Kime's memory bring comfort to all who knew him and may his enduring spirit continue to inspire those he loved most. After a long battle, Tim is finally able to rest and be at peace.

You were my best friend many, many years ago when we lived a block apart in Elyria. Our exploits at rainy Boy Scout campouts are why they write handbooks on what not to do to prepare for wet weather. I´m still not sure how you survived sleeping at the foot of my sleeping bag which we somehow kept dry the night the skies opened up and flooded everything else in sight. More recently, I wish we had had the chance to catch up a few more times while eating turnovers from Kiedrowski´s. Your stories of your family revealed how much you loved and adored them. You were a great friend and a great man. You have earned a restful peace and will be missed.
