He was preceded in death by his parents, Nora Lessman and Arthur Koland, and his high school sweetheart and wife, Linda Lufkin. Survived by his sister Colleen Lessman, brother James (Martha) Koland, children Lawrence (Stacey) Koland, Lisa (John) Westlund, Lance Koland (Krystal Baumgarner), four grandchildren, Garrett Koland, Christopher Westlund, Katelyn (Jackson)Lindsey, and Logan Koland and three great-grandchildren.
Tim enjoyed old movies, reading, and the Northwoods of Minnesota. He was known for accepting a challenge of being pulled across Leech Lake in a tube and being talked into taking a sled down the banks of lake Bemidji in the middle of winter by his grandchildren.
In retirement, he proudly maintained the Farden Township park and cemetery and cherished sharing stories of Kamloops, British Columbia. He will be greatly missed and loved by many
