Timothy Scott Krebs, 53, passed away on August 27, 2025, in Des Moines, Iowa. A memorial funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Pathway Church in Johnston, Iowa. A potluck will immediately follow at the church.
Tim was born in Davenport, Iowa on January 4, 1972, to Ronald and Peggy (Thurman) Krebs. He attended Pleasant Valley High School, where he played football and baseball. He graduated with the class of 1990. Following high school, Tim went on to study welding at DMACC. He most recently worked for Cushman & Wakefield in Commercial Property Management
Tim had a deep passion for life's simple pleasures. He loved watching dirt track racing and working on the cars. Tim worked on an IMCA Hobby Stock for five years for Ray Stock, and an IMCA STAR ModLite for an "adopted dirt son" Jaxon Carr.
He also made countless treasured memories camping at Cutty's Campground with those he loved. A true jokester with a big heart, Tim was known for his happy-go-lucky spirit and his ever-present smile.
He never let distance come between him and the people he loved. Tim made sure to stay connected with his family, always calling when he couldn't be there in person. His loyalty and love for his family were unmatched-family always came first.
A devoted Iowa State Cyclones fan, Tim also rooted passionately for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Wild. He had a deep love for animals and also took immense joy in attending his kids' events, cheering them on with pride. His kind and giving nature touched many lives. His final act of kindness was being an organ donor.
Tim will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, and the way he lit up a room. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Tim is survived by his wife, Michele; children, Kaden Krebs, Camryn (Lucas) Krebs, and Bryce (Justine) Krebs; his father, Ronald Krebs; sister, Kimberly (Bradley) Rathjen; step-sister, Karen (Doug Kocina) England; step-dad, George Forrest; nephews, Austin and Obie; his loving dogs, Ellie Lee and Rocky Gene; and many other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Forrest; stepsister, Katie Zimmerman; his stepmother, Carolyn Krebs; and his loving dog, Bella Marie.
Memorials may be directed to Tim's family.
