Timothy McDonough, 62, passed away on October 21, 2025, in Westwood, Massachusetts. Tim lived a life marked by passion, knowledge, and a deep appreciation for the things he loved most-family, friends, food, travel, and spirited conversation.
Tim is survived by his beloved wife Beth; his cherished children Madeline and Michael; his mother Ilse; his brother R. Patrick McDonough of Plymouth, MA; and his sisters Patricia Anderson of Scituate and Diane Luca of Canton. He was predeceased by his father, Richard "Dick" McDonough.
A man of many talents and interests, Tim was known for his exceptional culinary skills. Whether preparing a gourmet meal or firing up the grill for a backyard gathering, he brought creativity and joy to every dish. His love for food and wine was matched only by his enthusiasm for sharing it with others.
Tim's adventurous spirit took him far and wide. He found great joy in traveling and exploring new places-especially those that offered culinary delights or a touch of magic. A true Disney aficionado, Tim embraced the wonder and nostalgia of the parks with childlike enthusiasm that never waned.
He was also an accomplished marksman who took pride in precision, discipline and training others to embrace the sport. His love of US History and his involvement in the Republican Party reflected his commitment to civic engagement, personal conviction, and heartfelt patriotism.
Those who knew Tim will remember him as charismatic and full of life-a man whose presence lit up every room he entered. His sharp intellect, quick wit, and warm heart left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral arrangements are private. Donations honoring his life may be made to Dana-Faber Cancer Institute.
May Timothy McDonough's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
