Timothy Paul Mohan, age 53, of Broomall, PA, formerly of Scranton, Pa, a dedicated educator who left an indelible mark on the lives of many, sadly passed away on April 3, 2024. Born in Scranton, PA, he was the son of William and June (née Hughes) Mohan.
Timothy's journey on this earth was one defined by passion, commitment, and a profound love for teaching. He devoted over 30 years of his life to shaping young minds as a Social Studies teacher at the Bala Cynwyd Middle School in the Lower Merion School District. Timothy breathed life into the pages of US History, captivating his students’ imaginations and instilling in them a deep appreciation for the past. Beyond the classroom, Timothy also took on the role of director of athletics and activities at the school, where he played a pivotal role in fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among students.
Timothy leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sinéad Devlin, his son, Patrick Michael Devlin Mohan, and his daughter, Céire Ann Devlin Mohan. He is also survived by his father, William Mohan, his mother, June (née Hughes) Mohan, his brother, William Mohan and wife Kara, his mother-in-law, Ann Devlin, his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins. Also fondly remembered by a multitude of colleagues, friends, and past and present students who were fortunate enough to learn from him.
Services to honor and remember Timothy will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, 610-449-0300. A Viewing will take place from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Timothy’s Funeral Service will be livestreamed beginning at approximately at 10:45 AM.
