Timothy Lee Overton, age 56, of Pella, Iowa, passed away on March 10, 2026. Timothy was born on August 3, 1969, in Des Moines, Iowa. He spent his life rooted in the state he proudly called home.
On April 14, 1990, Timothy married Kimberly Vignaroli in Des Moines, Iowa. Together they had three children -Mariah, Brandon, and Anthony.
Timothy loved spending time fishing whenever he could and was a passionate sports fan. He proudly cheered for his favorite teams, the Chicago Cubs and the Minnesota Vikings, rarely missing a game. He was also a longtime fan of NASCAR, enjoying the thrill and excitement of race day.
Service to others was important to Timothy. He was a proud volunteer firefighter at Delaware Township Fire Department for over 18 years. Giving his time and energy to help protect his community. In his children's younger years, he was often found on the sidelines or in the dugout, coaching their sporting events and cheering them on. In those moments watching his kids grow, learn, and succeed meant the world to him.
Music was another love in Timothy's life. He enjoyed listening to all genres of music. Especially, if he could find a live band, he would be there.
More than anything, Timothy cherished his family, and he took great pride in the lives and accomplishments of those he loved. His grandchildren brought him endless joy and laughter.
Timothy is survived by his wife, Kim Overton; his children, Mariah Pettyjohn (Cole) and Brandon Overton (Cadence); and his grandchildren, Watson, Willow, and Wynter.
He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Overton.
