It is with profound love and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Timothy Charles Pearson, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, who departed this life on November 27, 2025, at the age of 66.
Born on August 17, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio, to William and Mary (Jenkins) Pearson, Timothy was raised on the South End of Columbus in a close-knit community where neighbors looked out for one another. His upbringing shaped him into a man of strong character, deep loyalty, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Timothy is preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary (Jenkins) Pearson; grandparents Mary and Clarence Pearson, and Edgar and Irene (Black) Jenkins; brother Stephen “Sabir” Pearson; and sister Mary Irene “Anne” Pearson-Wilson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son Savon Antwon Jones (partner Pauline Parks); grandson Savon Timothy Lewis Jones; bonus granddaughter Tyler Moon; former daughter-in-law Teresa “Teri” Lewis; sisters Marquise Pearson, Beverly (Rick) Pearson-Casey, and Janet Pearson; along with many nieces, nephews, uncle, aunt, cousins, and a host of extended family and dear friends. Special friend: “Skeeto.”
Timothy loved his family deeply and took great pride in being both a father and grandfather. He was known for his strong work ethic, his humor, and the joy he brought to even the simplest gatherings. He enjoyed playing the card game Straight Whiz, fishing, watching his favorite football teams—the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and New Orleans Saints—and spending time with family over good food and laughter. He had a remarkable sense of humor and a signature way of ending birthday celebrations with his unforgettable “A boinnnggg,” placing the candle right on top of the birthday person’s head.
Timothy’s presence was a gift to everyone who knew him. His warmth, laughter, and love will remain forever in the hearts of his family and friends. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on through the memories he created and the lives he touched.
Rest in peace, Timmy. Your love and light will never be forgotten.
