Timothy Eugene Poletti departed from this world on February 18, 2025 in Paragould, Arkansas, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and service. Born on March 18th, 1965 in St Louis Missouri, Tim grew up with a heart full of kindness, a mind eager to learn, and a spirit dedicated to helping others. Whether sharing a laugh with his loved ones or embracing each day with gratitude, he was a man with strong convictions. He led with gentleness and understanding, always ready to offer comfort or a helping hand. You could count on him to turn your bad mood into a laughing fest with his sense of humor and jokes.
Tim graduated from Walnut Ridge High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and built the foundation for his future. He furthered his education at Hillsdale Freewill Baptist College, driven by a deep commitment to his faith and a desire to serve others.
From a young age, he answered the Lord's call, giving his heart to Christ at O'Kean Freewill Baptist Church.. His faith was one that guided him in every step he took. As a young man, he became a youth pastor, pouring his heart into guiding and mentoring the next generation. His dedication to ministry led him to serve in various churches and denominations, and officiated several weddings. He eventually became the pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. During the pandemic, Tim began posting heartfelt and meaningful devotionals on Facebook that will be cherished and shared for many years to come. Whether preaching, counselling or simply offering a listening ear, Tim was a beacon of light and encouragement to all who knew him.
Beyond his devotion to the church, Tim was a man of many talents and passions. He had an artistic soul with a deep love for both music and visual arts. Whether sketching, painting, writing songs, poems, or strumming his guitar; he found beauty in creativity and joy in expression. Music was a constant in his life, and he shared that love with those around him, often using it as a means to bring people together and lift their spirits.
Tim was also a proud veteran. He served his country with honor in the Army National Guard, embodying the values of discipline, dedication and sacrifice. His service was a reflection of his unwavering commitment to protecting and caring for others.
Professionally, Tim was well-respected wherever he worked. He built a successful career in sales working several places in Missouri and Arkansas.. He loved working as a car salesman at Cavenaugh Chrysler Dodge Jeep, Cavenaugh Hyundai, and Reliable Pre-Owned trucks. He also contributed his skills in sales at Atwell Media and Teleflora in Paragould, leaving a lasting impact with his professionalism and integrity while having fun with those he worked with.
Everyone who knew Tim knew of his passion for the Kansas City Chiefs and NFL. He also loved rooting for St. Louis Cardinals, Arkansas Razorbacks, and the Golden State Warriors. He always said that one of the best memories he had was attending a Chiefs game in KC.
Tim's love for the Lord was matched only by his love for his wife Carla. Tim was a devoted husband. His love for his wife Carla was evident in every act of kindness and every thoughtful word he spoke. He cherished their life together, always ensuring she felt loved and supported even when his own health faulted. Both he and his wife loved spending their days watching and laughing at the crazy antics of their lovely dog Bailey. He always told her that he loved doing life and ministry with her. Their bond was a testament to selfless love.
His children were his pride and joy and he never missed an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and encourage their dreams. Tim and his wife would always pray for his children every night. He truly valued the relationship he shared with his children immensely
Tim was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Willene (Cullum) and his beloved sister, Sharon Davis. He leaves behind a family who will forever hold his memory close: his wife of almost 13 years, Carla Poletti; his children Renae Poletti, Anthony and Lindsay Poletti of Lebanon. Katie Poletti from Springfield, Mo, Kelsie and Lukas Shook of Marshfield, Missouri, and Timissa and Tyler Davis of Prescott Arizona; along with 14 grandchildren and one more on the way.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find solace in knowing that Tim has found eternal peace in the presence of the Lord he so faithfully served. His life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering faith. May we carry forward his legacy by living with the same compassion and devotion he so effortlessly shared with the world.
A celebration of Tim's life will be Saturday, March 1, at 2pm at the Rock of NEA in Jonesboro.
