Obituary
Timothy R. Reitz, age 56, of Greencastle, PA passed away at his home on February 28, 2023. Born July 29, 1966, in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Ray and Jackie Straub Reitz.
Tim earned his engineering degree from Kittering University in Flint, MI. He worked at Mack Truck and then onto Hoffman Transportation, where he served as the office coordinator for over 30 years. He enjoyed football, especially the Philadelphia Eagles, bowling, driving trucks, and lately game shows. Working in transportation, Tim was able to visit every state in the lower 48.
Surviving is his wife of 25 years, Sherry L. Smith Reitz, whom he married in July 1997; five children, Leslie F. Stiles (husband Zach) of Danridge, TN, Timmy J. Wood (wife Jen) of Stafford, VA, Abigail L. Reitz of Greencastle, PA, Allison R. Reitz of Greencastle, PA, and Kyle A. Reitz of Greencastle, PA; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Brian Reitz (wife Jodi) of Detroit, MI and Brady Reitz (wife Gabe) of Pensacola, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Eric Reitz.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11 AM in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA, where Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be mailed to F&M Trust 518 North Antrim Way Greencastle, PA 17225 c/o Timothy Reitz Memorial funds to help with medical, college, and funeral expenses.
