Timothy Sitzman Obituary

Timothy Gene Sitzman 1959- 2025 Timothy Gene Sitzman passed away on July 13, 2025, at Davis Hospice after a brave battle with cancer.

Tim was born on September 5, 1959, in Denver, Colorado, to Gene and Beverly Sitzman. The family moved to Cheyenne when Tim was five years old. He attended Bain Elementary, Carey Junior High, and East High School, graduating in 1977.

At age seventeen, Tim began working at the Rawhide and Caballo coal mines in Gillette, Wyoming. Later, he attended Casper College, where he was influenced by Sam Fadala, an English teacher and author known for his writings on archery and black powder. Tim went on to study at the University of Wyoming. While in Laramie, he worked as a bartender at The Pub and the original Diamond Horseshoe before beginning his career as an electrician.

Starting as an apprentice, Tim advanced to journeyman and ultimately became a master electrician. He worked for several electrical companies, most notably LG Electric and Superior Electric. He also served as a building inspector for Laramie County and the City of Cheyenne.

Tim married Suzanne on June 20, 1987, in Laramie. They became a family of four with the births of their daughters, Elizabeth (Liz) and Erin. Tim's interests included hunting, camping, hiking, archery, reloading, and shooting-all passions he loved sharing with his daughters. He will be remembered by family and friends as intelligent, humble, compassionate, welcoming, patient, and loving.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and his parents-in-law, Bob and Gerry Eisenhauer. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; daughters Liz (Chance) Pollo and Erin (Matthew) Ammons; brothers Brad (Kathy) Sitzman and Scott (Angie) Sitzman; sister-in-law Cynthia Heryford; and brothers-in-law Wayne and Michael Eisenhauer. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Justin (Paige), Shawn, Mallory (Adam), Nathan (Angie), Jason (Kim), Levi (Heidi), Caitlin (Usama); and grand nieces and nephews, Harlow, Jasper, Otto, Haley, Oakley, Cooper, and June.

A service for Tim will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Wiederspahn Radomsky Chapel, followed by a reception at The Gathering Place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Davis Hospice or a charity of your choice.
