Timothy Wayne Hudson, 67, went home to be with the Lord on October 22, 2023 at his home in Caswell County where he lived for 32 years with his wife Donna.
He was a member of Bethel Christian Church in the Anderson Community and was instrumental in the installation and operation of the church’s state-of-the-art sound system. His participation in his community included volunteering as a Boy Scout leader, initiating a song ministry at area nursing homes, participating in Christian missions to Nepal and organizing a Parkinson’s fight club to assist others who were diagnosed with the disease. He was also a member of the Southern Caswell Ruritans and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #72.
When asked to name his life’s greatest accomplishment, Tim unhesitatingly replied “Helping to raise my amazing son, Taylor.”
In addition to his wife and son, Tim is survived by his sister, Anita Holloway, and special friends Beth Thompson and Beth Courtney. Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Reu Christensen; father, Bill Hudson; step-father, Kendell Christensen; brother-in-law, Hap Holloway and mother-in-law, Minnie Roach.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Bethel Christian Church by Pastor Caleb Hensley with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:45 at the church and other times at the home.
