Timothy Wood, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in January. Born on Long Island, New York to Arthur and Martha Wood, he was the second of five children Arthur, Chris, Dennis and Elizabeth. Timothy graduated from St. Bonaventure University and proudly served in Vietnam, where he received a medal for heroism. Timothy went on to receive 2 masters degrees from Cortland University in Health and Stonybrook University in Economics. He was a dedicated teacher of Phys Ed and Health at the West Islip School District for over 30 years.
Timothy is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Wood; his three children, Bryan, Michael, Timothy and wives Gabby and Lilly; and his four grandchildren, Ashlyn, Logan, Kerilyn, and Riley. Timothy was a devoted family man that would do anything for his family. Timothy loved to golf and was a avid shopper who considered Publix his second home. Timothy cherished going on adventures with his children and grandchildren especially vacations at the Summer Beach House. He was a fortunate man who traveled the world, visiting places such as England, Germany, France, Ireland, Norway, Russia, and Canada. At home, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of watching the News and Sunday Football.
