Tina Marie Kiefer was born on November 25, 1970, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Norma Kiefer. Tina attended Prairie High school and Hamilton Business college. Tina met Kirk Barnts in 1990 and later married on August 24th, 1991, at the First Presbyterian Church in Monticello, Iowa. Over the years, Tina was employed at Harbor Freight Tools, Theisen's, and Worley Warehouse up until the time of her death. Kirk and Tina also ran the Prairieburg Meat Locker from 1996-2001.

In Tina's early years, she enjoyed going on vacation with her mom, Norma, to different states. In Kirk and Tina's early years of marriage, they enjoyed spending time at the Monticello horse barns with friends and family. She also loved taking weekend trips with her husband and kids to Hannibal and Branson, Missouri. Tina had a special bond with her Uncle Donnie and his wife Susy, and she cherished flying down to Florida to spend time with them.

Tina's greatest joys were spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Overall, Tina enjoyed life to the fullest and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
