Tina Sosebee

Tina Ann Walker Sosebee, a truly devoted and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and cherished friend, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025. A true free spirit, Tina leaves behind a beautiful legacy of encouragement to live life to the fullest. Tina was famous among her family and friends for her passion for fishing and was always proud of outfishing anyone she came in contact with.

Tina was the beloved wife of Ronnie Sosebee and the heart of her family. Her greatest joy was found in her role as "Mom" and "Mamaw." She poured her love into her son, Shaun McCoig, and was the proud, doting grandmother to Cadence McCoig, Lylah McCoig, Barrett McCoig, and Trinity Via. She was also a loving mother to her stepdaughter, Sonya Sosebee.

She is survived by her loving father, Bob Walker, and his wife, Reetha. Tina also leaves behind her cherished siblings, Shayla Floyd and Bobby Walker, along with many dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and one of her closest friends, Heather Eaker who provided the most loving care during her last days.

Tina was welcomed into eternity by those who preceded her in death: her beloved daughter, Stacy McCoig Via; her mother, Joanne Manning Walker; and her sister, Mary Hodges.

A graveside committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on November 10, 2025, at Benton Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Bruce Underwood and Tina's son Shaun McCoig officiating. Her family will service as pallbearers.

Family and friends will assemble at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, at Higgins Funeral Home, departing in procession at 12:45 p.m. to make the journey to the cemetery.
