Tina Marie Sumpter, age 62 of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on October 7, 2023. She was born on July 2, 1961, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Curtis Lee Godfrey and the late Virginia Marie Garner Godfrey.
Tina dedicated many years of her life to her work as a Payment Specialist at Cobb EMC. Her diligent work and unwavering commitment were second to none, leaving an indelible mark on her colleagues and the community she served. Tina was a devout Christian and gifted pianist. She was the pianist at her home church, New Canaan Baptist Church. She loved shopping on Amazon.com. Tina was a family-oriented person and dearly loved family reunions. She was also a giving person, a fabulous and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Tina's memory will forever be cherished by her adoring family. She is survived by her loving husband, of forty-three years, Brian Sumpter; her two sons and daughters-in-law, William Ryan (Chelsea) Sumpter and Patrick Curtis (Bethany) Sumpter; daughter, Holly Marie Fountain; grandchildren: James Hunter Fountain, Syrena Lezlie Echavarria, Willow Marie Sumpter, Leland Porter Sumpter, and Rosyln Grace Sumpter, brought immense joy and pride to her life; her beloved mother-in-law, Janet Arnold; and several cousins.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Funeral services to honor Tina's life will be held at the Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 11:00 am with Pastor James Cook officiating.
Burial will follow the service at 2:00 pm in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 4096 E Cherokee Dr, Canton, GA 30115.
