Tina Johnson Tuten, age 61, a beacon of joy and unwavering faith, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, at HCA Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on October 22, 1963, in Jacksonville, Florida, Tina's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and devotion.
She was a cherished daughter to her late mother, Sarah Bass, and was lovingly guided by her grandparents, Lois and Robert Bass, who preceded her in death.
Funeral Services will be held at the Chapel of Lowes Funeral Home on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. Rev. John Conley will officiate. Interment will follow at Sandhill Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Lowes Funeral Home on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 6 PM - 8 PM.
Tina was survived by her loving husband, Ed Tuten, her beloved children, Robert Johnson (Keair) of McRae, Chris Johnson (Stephanie) of Douglas, Leah Tuten of McRae, Sara Lacovara (Matt) of Buford, South Carolina, and Katie Tuten of McRae, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and her special aunt, Jackie McCullough of Jacksonville, Florida.
Tina's professional life was marked by her tenure as a cashier at Dairy Queen, where she was more than just an employee; she was a friend to all who walked through the doors. Her infectious smile and genuine care for others made her a beloved figure in the community. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Beyond her work, Tina was known for her unwavering faith and her dedication as a prayer warrior. Her spirit was a light that could not be dimmed, and her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew her. Tina's interests went beyond the walls of her home and job. She was a woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, always greeting challenges with a smile and an unshakeable belief in the goodness of people.
As we say goodbye to Tina Johnson Tuten, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that was given freely to all. Tina's journey on earth has ended, but her spirit will continue to guide and comfort us, just as the prayers she so fervently offered for others will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she loved.
