Tito Nelson Thomas of Mineral Wells, Texas left this world on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. A Rosary will be held at Baum-Carlock Bumgardner in Mineral Wells on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 6:00 pm with the visitation to follow. The service will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 10:00 am. The graveside services will be at Woodland Park Cemetery immediately following.
Tito was born May 7, 1969, in Mineral Wells, TX to Sherman Glen “Bear” Thomas and Lovona “Bucket” Fay Jones. Tito was known as a jack of all trades with a gift of turning strangers into friends. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and if you caught the first fish before him it was “game on!” Tito was employed with Verizon Wireless for more than 20 years and enjoyed every aspect of being a technician. If you ever needed anything, Tito was the man to call. His newest pride and joy was being promoted to “Plops.” Before he left, he made sure to grab all of Elodie’s kisses and put them in his pocket.
He was proceeded in death by Grandma and Grandpa Jones, Granny and Grandpa Thomas, Uncle Bill Thomas, and father-in-law, Angel Candelario Sr.
Tito is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Maria Thomas, daughter Destyni Thomas, and granddaughter Elodie, sister Tesa, brother Eric, brother-in-law Angel and wife Karmen, mother-in-law Mary Candelario, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, and family. The family is comforted knowing that Tito and the best dog in the whole wide world, Teddy Bear, are getting chickens and watching over them now.
