Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Lee Doss, age 89, will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in the Chapel of Shelton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 PM until 8 PM and Tuesday from 12 PM until service time.
Mr. Doss, a retired mechanic, US Army veteran and member of the American Legion, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025 in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lucille Doss; a daughter, Tina Doss; two sons, Robert Doss and Thomas Dewayne Doss; four sisters, Dorothy Doss, Valeria Rutherford, Evelyn Pickard and Doris Jones; and a great granddaughter, Kayla Garner.
Mr. Doss is survived by three daughters, Dianne Powell, Elizabeth Patterson and Barbara Evans; two sons, Glynn Doss and James Doss; a sister, Brenda Clark; former wife, Jo Doss; sixteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
