Toby Contento Obituary
Toby B. Contento, 82, formerly of Allentown and Florida died Wednesday, January 31, 2024 surrounded by family at Spring Village at Pocono, East Stroudsburg. She was the widow of Victor Contento and the former wife of the late Alvin Kanofsky. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Helen (Lebovitz) Levine. A graduate of William Allen High School, Toby received her nursing degree from Albert Einstein Medical Center School of Nursing. She was a nurse caring for patients at Albert Einstein Medical Center and Muhlenberg Hospital for years.
At the center of Toby's life was her family, starting with her two beloved sons. She loved being active, especially walking, roller skating, biking, tennis and golf. As her family grew, she delighted in weddings, births and each of her grandchildrens' milestones, big and small. She was never too busy to play, listen, or help her family. Her presence and love were a cherished gift.
Survivors: Sons, Robert L. Kanofsky and his wife Camille of Charlotte, NC and Nathan I. Kanofsky and his wife Heather of Roseto; brother, Arthur Levine and his wife Dorothy of FL; beloved grandchildren, Sierra, Mika, Sage, Bee and Collin.
Service: Memorial Service 11:00AM Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. Calling hour from 10 to 11:00AM Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the funeral home.
