Toby Lo
A celebration of life for Toby Lo will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Toby Sean Lo on September 9, 2025, at the age of 32. Toby was born on March 31, 1993, in Sheldon Iowa to Phong Lo and Phong Kay (Kavanh) Lo. He was raised in Sheldon and attended Sheldon High School. Toby was a member of the football and track team.
Toby went to Iowa State University and he graduated with an Industrial Technology degree. Toby worked at SPX in Kansas City, Missouri in his field of study.
Toby is a soft kind hearted person who loved spending time with family and friends(playing games and just joking around). He especially loved to spend time outdoors hiking, fishing, camping and biking(his recent accomplishment is a full week of RAGBRAI). One of his favorite places to enjoy nature is in the Northwest Pacific area.
Surviving family members are his father Phong Lo, mother Phong Kay Lo, brother Anthony Scott Lo and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Toby was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Theaung Kavanh (grandfather), Tho Van Lo (grandfather) and Tom Thi Lo (grandmother).
Toby will be remembered for all the heart and love he shared with family and friends. He wants all to remember the good times, to smile and laugh. He wishes everybody a healthy life and healing quickly and to exceed their goals.
