Mr. Townsend is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Dallas "Shorty" Townsend. He is survived by his wife, Michelle L. Townsend of Quitman, MS; mother, Carolyn Dianne Deas of Quitman, MS; four brothers, Dallas Derouen of Florence, MS, Darrell Townsend of Ft. Worth, TX, Kieffer Townsend, and Teddy Townsend, both of Meridian, MS; sister, Falon Deas of Ellisville, MS; stepchildren, Brandon King (Madison) and Amber Woods (Jacob), both of Waynesboro, MS; step grandchildren, Jayla, Coby, Rhett, and Stormi; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
