Bobby Townsend

TOWNSEND, Mr. Bobby - age 76, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025 in Pontiac, Michigan. Family hour 10:30AM Monday, December 8, 2025 at Monument of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 378 Auburn Avenue, with funeral services commencing immediately at 11:00AM. Pastor Christopher Keys, Sr. Host Pastor. Pastor Patrick Johnson, Eulogist. Interment, Oak Hill Cemetery, 216 University Drive. Friends and pallbearers will assemble 10:30AM at the church Monday. There will be no public visitation.

Mr. Townsend leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Shirley Townsend; children, Robert Townsend, Katrina (Tyrone) Traylor, Kassandra Townsend, Bobby (Darmecia) Townsend, Jr. and Stephanie (Patrick) Johnson; grandchildren, Davon Townsend, Robert Townsend, Jr., Zariyah Townsend, Makriyah Townsend, Alijah Townsend, Isaiah Townsend, Julissa Townsend, Kenneth Townsend, Leandra Townsend, Shabonn Boone, Shakwone Boone, Deangelo Townsend, Trayvon Townsend, Donovan Scott (Brianna Bartold), Denarius Scott, Destiny (Derrick) Williams, Morgan Johnson, Nylah Johnson, Patrick Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Zaria Johnson, Braylen Townsend and Brandon Davis; 31 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruth Grinter and William Townsend; and a host of other relatives and friends including his best friend, Ollie.

Mr. Townsend was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ruthene Townsend; siblings, L C Townsend, Willie Townsend, Annie Gardner, Joe Townsend, Edward Townsend and Lottie Bell Townsend; and nephews, Homer Townsend and Nate Townsend.
